Have you seen Rear Window? It must have been Harold Ross' apartment Jimmy Stewart was watching having a party across the alley with sounds of Rhapsody in Blue rolling out the window. I loved learning about the history of The New Yorker. My parents subscribed and I think that growing up trying to decipher the cartoons really shaped me.
