As a kid I loved the TV show “Route 66”, with Tod and Buz in their Corvette (a new model each year - the show was sponsored by Chevy), but they almost never travelled on Route 66. They did meet some cool chicks, like Julie Newmar (but at that time the car excited me more).
One of the very many reasons I love the book and movie “Grapes of Wrath.” All of the hope that traveled on the Mother Road. Fascinating history today. Thank you.

It certainly had & still has (?) a ring about it “Route 66”. Even internationally. One would wonder what those “ kicks on” could be...🤔
