Fey was also in residence for sometime at the home Second City theater in Chicago. A terrific documentary called SECOND TO NONE is a record of the rehearsals and opening of a Second City show she co-wrote and appeared in called PARADIGM LOST with several other brilliant Second City performers, directed by the pioneering improv director Mick Napier. I bought a couple of copies of it from Amazon. A film key to understanding Fey specifically and the improvisational theater phenomenon in general.
I hate to be nit-picky but the entry for the eruption of Mount St Helens could use a little work. For starters, the 57 people and most of the other destruction resulted from the force of the initial blast, the pyroclastic flows (you can look it up) and flooding caused by the melting of St Helen’s snow cap along with ash and debris collected along the way. There was probably some molten lava released, but it wasn’t the main problem. Also, a cloud of superhot ash (again, not lava) rose to the stratosphere.
