I love these Writer's Almanac entries. The stories they contain are both informative and succinct. You have a talent for including the most pertinent details of a person's story. They're usually about people we've all heard about, or whose names are known but little else (e.g. Johns Hopkins). Thanks to these, we understand the people we've heard about better, and the names, now associated with a person whose story has been told anew, are brought to life.
I also note that these are all from 2013. That must have been a busy year.
