I read Richter's "The Awakening Lands Trilogy" many years ago. For someone who delights in all the details a writer can pack into a story, these books were good for my soul. In telling you how Sayward goes about her daily life - every detail - he paints such a clear image, drawing you into her being and taking you with her into her time and place. Someone must have loved these books as much as I, because the story was made into a TV miniseries starring the incredible Elizabeth Montgomery. It was unforgettable TV. Thanks for reminding me of this!
