I didn't see this when it was originally posted. Thank you for the succinct but informative description of the tragedy of Hemingway's later years. I was 14 when he committed suicide. I thought it a tragedy then, and still think so, but hadn't thought about it much thereafter. Now, at least, I know some of the background.
