Thank you for the reminder of one of my favorites, Sue Grafton. Her last book was “Y is for Yesterday” and when she died too young at 77 in 2017 her daughter said that the family now considers that the alphabet ends with Y.

And another thank you for reading Ogden Nash aloud. My kind of poetry.

Wonderful piece on Robert Penn Warren. Louisiana politics hadn’t changed much by 1976. “Local politician barricaded in attic with shotgun”, read the headline. The food was as other-worldly as the local color.
