Today is All Saints' Day. In the Western Catholic tradition, it's a time to honor Christian saints and martyrs. It is also the date the first medical school for women opened (1848), the date of the race run between horses Seabiscuit and War Admiral (1938), the day the US Weather Bureau made it's first forecast (1870), and the day the Arecibo Observatory opened (1963).
I think you will find that the Women's Medical College became BUSM, Boston University School of Medicine, a graduate of BUSM, Charles Eastman, was the Physician in attendance at Wounded Knee. He was a Lakota who, as a boy, had been with Sitting Bull in Canada.
Re: The Arecibo Telescope. You neglected to mention that the telescope is permanently disabled and no longer active since late 2020, when two of its support cables collapsed and destroyed the instrument.
I am no longer getting my daily Almanacs. What happened! How can I start my day?
