Today is the birthday of Vikram Seth, born in Calcutta, India (1952), author of "A Suitable Boy", the longest single-volume work of fiction in English since 1747.

Every time these show up in the mail, I get taken back to a magical time when GK was the only one on my radar that did this. When I retired, I started my focus on literature. Now Poetry and songwriters fill the 4 pages I disburse for free to roughly 80 individuals, during covid, I was praised weekly for a diversion. Rarely do I get unsubscribed.
