ORIGINAL TEXT AND AUDIO - 2017 It was on this day in 49 B.C. that the Parisii, a tribe of Celtic fisherman, first set foot in what would become the magnificent city of Paris
I’m afraid I’m confused.
If the Parisii “first set foot” at the location that would _later_ become known as Lutetia in 49 B.C...
...then how was Julius Caesar about to write the Parisii and Lutetia in his “Commentaries”
which has been published in 53 B.C. (and, presumably, described events written prior
to that date)?
A good question, Mr. Cramer.
