Kudos for pointing out that Medicare and Medicaid are parts of Social Security...most people do not know they are parts of a larger, coherent system! But, a small correction...it is the anniversary of LBJ's signing into law amendments to the Social Security Act - Titles XVIII (Medicare) and XIX (Medicaid)...FDR was President when the SSA was first enacted in 1935.
