Ms. Oliver's second half of her brain-shaking poem I stood like Adam in his garden and graced with Eve as well:

Mary Oliver has the unique gift of an artiste who paints with her words....pefectly placed. For those of us who might have wondered how God's gift of His Garden to Adam and, I'm guessing, but if today's script means anything, Eve surely got most of the work, forthwith by planting, cutting, dicing, boiling and serving both on a large green leaf.
If this was a new daily menu rendered by each of them with their goodies served, that was no punishment in the Garden of Eden. It was a gift to us all. Pass the salt.
